Laura is a licensed massage therapist in the state of Illinois and certifed in Kripalu Bodywork. Throughout the 18 years plus as a professional bodyworker and massage therapist, Laura has learned a variety of eastern and western massage modalities to help address the varied needs of her clients. Her natural healing abilities and style has evolved from her hands-on experience, continuing education and her passion to want to help clients find balance and healing in the body/mind system. She has been taught to use her intuition to blend techniques for the best results of each client individually. Her foundation, Kripalu Bodywork, is deeply relaxing and utilizes long deep strokes and firm pressure to manipulate muscles while staying connected to the energy body and the breath patterns of the client. Laura frequently incorporates myofascial release and joint mobilization techniques for deeper release of soft tissue and to increase flexibility; acupressure or trigger point therapy to aid in greater pain relief; Table Thai Massage techniques to facilitate energy flow along specific meridians and channels. Laura will blend specific essential oils for your individual needs or conditions, if you so desire.

Each session is individualized depending on what you need during a particular session. You leave your session feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and you have a sense of relief and lightness knowing your body and mind received what they needed. Laura often will send her client's home with stretching exercises, relaxation techniques, or self-care tools so they will be well on their way to a healthier, happier and more peaceful way of being.
