I am called Savita or AKA Laura Eisenberg Jachim. People often ask me about how I started in the business of massage and helping others find peace. In case you are curious too, here’s what led to my passion in the healing arts as massage therapist, intuitive coach and wellness advocate.
I came into this lifetime with a seeking spirit, but wasn’t exactly sure what I was seeking for. More peace? The desire to love and be loved and accepted? The need to fit in? There was a whole life of pleasures and sufferings before I began to wake up spiritually.…
At the age of 27, I was several years into a career in advertising. I was working as the “go to” creative girl for a small photo studio. My back suddenly and painfully went out of alignment. I fell to the floor and couldn’t get up. All the muscles across my lower and mid back were in spasm for no apparent reason. I couldn’t move! Weeks later, after that initial episode subsided, I began to search for answers. I started with conventional care. Rather quickly, that care was a dead end. The only options offered were prescription medications to mask the pain, or surgery. At 27, those choices seemed too extreme and I just knew there must be another way to feel better.
A dear friend introduced me to the “alternative” route and recommended a highly sought after acupuncturist. This was in greater resonance with my natural searching soul. The treatment plan included acupuncture, herbs, physical therapy, flower essences and eventually massage therapy. This gentler and steady approach gave me time to reflect and look within. As the treatment plan unfolded, over the course of many months, I realized that the pain was not only physical. Under the spasms in my back, there were emotional knots from childhood traumas; twisted tissue from life’s misfortunes; regrets that had occurred throughout my early life and young adulthood. In the hands of healers, I started to feel safe, understood and seen. The pain shifted. It became less excruciating and barely noticeable. I felt more space emotionally, and more freedom in my body. I began to understand the path of the wounded healer. Massage became my medicine, my healer, and to my surpise, my teacher. My own pains started a journey I could have never predicted. It led me to discover unhealed physical wounds, as well as emotional and spiritual wounds. And it brought me to a rewarding and wonderful career in the healing arts. I’m forever evolving as a healer and a teacher. I am a seeker, a life-long learner of self realization and inner peace. What I’ve learned has become my path to share with you.
As a seasoned holistic, eclectic practitioner, my tool box is well equipped. It is my mission to be on the path of awakening consciousness and to support others to do the same. This is my most important endeavor of my life. My vision for Awakening Wellness is to be a safe haven. A place and space for women to calm the chaos, explore and renew their spirit and reconnect to the potential within and then support them in being that in the world. My role as a practitioner is a light weaver, a dream holder, a courageous questioner, a confidant, a vessel for your healing and wholeness, a friend for you to be present to the next step toward your peace of mind and joy in heart. Then the world becomes a better place.
May you be happy on your journey to awakening the wellness within you.
I’m honored to help you take your next step toward peace and awakening, in whatever way is most comfortable for you.
