Life is about the journey, not the destination
Life, in its own way, delivers lessons for the soul to grow. My life hasn't fallen short when it comes to lessons. Firstly, I was born under the sign of Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, the planet of "lessons learned." For me, life lessons started at a young age. My family's generational and dysfunctional dynamics surfaced early on. By 8 years old, I learned "people pleasing" skills to feel good about myself and keep the peace around me.
My young logical brain thought if I could make people feel good, I wouldn't get hurt.
Hence, I wouldn't have to feel what was actually under the surface of all the people pleasing and need to keep the peace.
It wasn't until after college, in my early 20's, that I began my recovery from co-dependence and people pleasing.
I found eastern philosophy and was introduced to Buddhism, then led to yoga and ancient spiritual teachings that I could apply to my life.
I began to heal. Answers to unanswered questions became clear. I was able make sense of what seemed unfair and deeply painful.
My life experiences have brought me to my knees with loss and breakdowns and also has inspired me with
Divine Grace and breakthroughs that changed the trajectory of my life. Today, I am right where I am supposed to be.
I've learned to listen and trust my inner guidance and depend on a power that is greater than myself. I continue to share my journey
with those that I meet who are also interested in ways to transform from the inside out.
My mantra for living a conscious life:
"When I have the courage to see, my gifts will find me."
The mantra below has helped me when I thought I didn't have what it takes to get through rough times..
I Can..
I Will..
I AM..
